Worthwhile Magazine is an online repository of personal property appraisal and collecting knowledge accessible to the general public and professionals alike. Discussions include evolving practices and current scholarship used when valuing the various fields of collecting. COURTNEY AHLSTROM CHRISTY, ISA CAPP
 

Courtney Ahlstrom Christy is owner of Ahlstrom Appraisals LLC. Based in Atlanta, her firm assists clients throughout the Southeast with the valuation of fine and decorative arts. Courtney is a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers with a Private Client Services affiliation, an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, and former Vice President of the Foundation for Appraisal Education. After earning a bachelor’s degree in art history from University College Cork in Ireland, Courtney studied 20th century design at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. She then obtained a master’s degree in the history of decorative arts at Smithsonian Associates in Washington, D.C. Sarah reeder, AAA, isa capp
 

Sarah Reeder is owner of Artifactual History® Appraisal.  She is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers with a Private Client Services designation, and a graduate of New York University's Program in Appraisal Studies in Fine & Decorative Arts.  She is the author of the book Ray Eames in 1930s New York as well as the creator of the online course SILVER 101: Quickly Learn How to Identify Your Sterling Silver and Silverplate to Find the Valuable Pieces and Sort with Empowered Confidence, available on-demand at https://artifactualhistory.teachable.com/p/silver-101. Sarah received her master's and undergraduate degrees from the College of William & Mary, where she also completed the Program in Museum Studies, Material Culture, and Early American History from the National Institute of American History and Democracy.  Prior to founding Artifactual History® Appraisal, her professional experience included positions at the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. You can find Sarah at Artifactual History® Appraisal online at https://www.artifactualhistory.com
